Briones Business Law Consulting, P.C, is a new kind of law firm. We are driven to be the best business law firm in New Mexico by providing outside, Corporate Counsel On Demand services to businesses at a reasonable, reliable fixed rate in order to allow the client to better use and access our services. We work directly with the owners of companies and their senior staff, meeting regularly and getting to know your business from top to bottom to become part of your team.

Our History
After 18 years of practicing law Thomas R. Briones formed Briones Business Law Consulting, P.C. in 2011 to provide local businesses the opportunity to outsource their legal needs through his innovative, “in house” counsel service model named Corporate Counsel On Demand. When creating Briones Business Law Consulting, P.C., the attorney-client relationship was examined closely, keeping in mind the question: how to provide quality legal services to clients without having the billable hour be a barrier to our legal services? Our solution was to do away with the billable hour. In talking with our clients we learned that they do not like being charged for talking to their attorney or having letters cost what seems an extraordinary fee.
We also learned that clients often refrain from seeking legal advice because of the price uncertainty of the legal fees under the billable hour model. Like other small businesses, we understand businesses need to budget for their needs, including legal fees. We propose to change the fee model and, consequently, the attorney-client relationship dynamic, by aligning our interests with yours and making the legal services your business needs accessible, affordable and certain. We do so through our Corporate Counsel On Demand program which provides most of the services that your own in-house counsel would provide, but at a fraction of the cost through a monthly fee.
